The Grendel Goats are a hearty faction directly descended from the original Billy Goats Gruff. Creative breeding practices have led to a stock of resilient gruffs with an intense mean-streak. This set of Grendel goats has some of the most aggressive "Mean" scores in the game. Gaptooth, in particular, has the highest starting mean value of any gruff in the game.
The ultimate goal for any Grendel Goat is glorious warfare, to that end each Grendel Goat brings a specific "Glorious" mutation that can only be used on that specific gruff. These mutations raise a gruff to it's most powerful form. Be sure to bring mutation removal when playing against a Grendel!
The lord of the Grendel is Gristle. A grizzled old shepherd with a lifetime of experience that he loves to share with the younger shepherds in his clan. He has learned that it doesn't pay to save defensive abilities until the last minute. He uses his threshold ability to regain defensive cards that he used in the early game. As with all shepherds, he can bring any gruff to battle, but he prefers goats that bring "Block" and "Protect".
